Practical information, Festival & Spectators

PARKING parking is free unless otherwise stated in the Athlete Guide There will be a parking area near the venue. However this will be limited. So we ask you to arrange carpooling to reduce the number of cars. Please don&#x27;t park on the roads, access to the venue would be blocked. This applies to anyone (spectators, racers etc.). Please, keep all your staff in the car out of eyes from thief. Organizer is not responsible for stolen items from parked vehicles. More information about parking will be sent a few days before the race in the Athlete Guide. BAG CHECK You can drop a bag at our bag Bagdrop off tent. After the race you can pick up again. Bag-check is free of charge for one piece of bag. Maximum size of your bag is 35cm x 50cm or 35 liters. We will no accept any travel bag. Bag check SHOWER: Spartan style Cold wash available after your finish. CHANGING ROOM Before and after the race a by gender tents to change clothes will be provided by the organization. RELIEF AND SUPPLY: A first-aid post will be placed at the end of the race with water, bandages and a loan ambulance service to respond quickly to any part of the course. In the case of an accident, there are race officials posted at every obstacle who can use the emergency radio to summon help immediately. You are allowed to take with your supply of water and food if you estimate you need it. The organization will set up supplies of water on the course but you should not rely only on it to hydrate you. Don’t hesitate to take water, gels, and bars with you AND keep all rubbish with you! FESTIVAL Opening on morning every race day for pre race packet pick-up, the Festival will welcome you all over the weekend for different activities: - Merchandise shop. - Music. - Bars and food. - Start, finish line and best obstacles from the course. - Festival test and run obstacle challenge. - All our partners and exhibitors. FESTIVAL MINI CHALLENGES While you wait for your wave to start, or anyone in the audience can participate in some of our mini-competitions. Try dips on the bar, timed crunches, or tire flips. SPECTATORS Bring your friends and family to the race to watch you conquering obstacles, dominating the finish line and receiving your medal! Come and enjoy an extraordinary experience through a day coupled with different activities in the Festival area, with our obstacles that you can test, the Spartan Kids race or the opportunity to enjoy watching your family moving through the course. VARIOUS Pic-nic and barbeques are not allowed in the race area. You can find food and beverage at the Spartan Race Festival Area.

What To Bring Your ID Insurance Card Towel, waterproof bag, & extra (dry) clothes/shoes Sunscreen & hydration Headlamps are recommended for later start times What to Wear Dress in performance gear (not cotton). Think compression bottoms and breathable tops made from water wicking material. Wear comfortable shoes that you’ve trained in, but beware, they are going to get dirty.

Arrival & Heat times

Arrive 90 minutes before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your registration packet, drop your stuff at bag check, and get warmed up. Check registration schedules in the Athlete Guide. Heat start "Spartan Race operates with heat starts between 150 and 250 athletes every 15 minutes after the first heat (Interval can be shorter). Choose your starting time well according to your level, your team and your objectives. Do not go into the last waves if you think you will have difficulty finishing the course. There is no time barrier but for obvious security reasons everyone must be home before a certain time. You can find your start time at BiB List located at Important Documents section. Edit your registration

Editing Profile, Transfer of your Registration, Referral At Spartan we understand that unexpected things come up in life and sometimes we cannot do anything about it. Our registration system is allowing you to do some changes online directly from your profile. You can change your heat time for service fee 5€. Attention, this fee can be paid only with credit card. Another change which can be done online is substitution. All changes can by made online till last Tuesday before the event. For more info click here

How to select Pace Group for a Competitive heat

How do I select my Pace Group for a Competitive heat? Every Competitive race will feature five different pace groups. Racers are asked to select the group that best fits their expected performance in the race. To help athletes best approximate the appropriate group for their ability level, we offer three reference points for each of our primary race formats (Sprint, Super, and Beast). These reference points are: 1. Fastest finish time for that event format. For example, a racer that has run their best Spartan Sprint in 42 minutes would round down and select Pace Group 3. 2. Fastest running pace for a non-OCR event at a comparable distance. For example, a racer that has completed a half marathon in 1 hour, 39 minutes would select Pace Group 2 for a Beast race. 3. Overall Finish position. For example - a racer expecting to be competitive for a top 20 finish would select Pace Group 2. The table below can be used to help select the appropriate Pace Group for your next Spartan race. Pace Group Please note, while we’re aware that your course time and/or finish position may vary from event to event, we expect all racers to act with integrity and make every effort to select the right Pace Group for their ability level. Racers that are found to repeatedly misrepresent their pace may be automatically reassigned to a different group by Spartan Race staff. Ongoing dishonest behavior may result in a ban from the Competitive category.

Rules & Regulations

You will receive a head band and timing chip in your racer pocket. It is mandatory to wear your head band and timing chip at all times during the race, otherwise you cannot be timed. Also it increases your chances to get nice pics from the race afterwards. You are not allowed to pass your bib number and timing chip to another participant. You are not allowed to cut the course. You can overtake others anywhere unless elsewise announced on the course. However we expect that you respect the other athletes. Click here to read the rules & regulations for Spartan Race.
